Lessons
Lessons are once per week, and each lesson will be a 45 minute session.
Attendance & Cancellations
It is imperative that students be ON TIME to every lesson. Tardiness will result in the session time being shortened, as we will still end on time. Once a recurring lesson day and time is selected, both the teacher and student are committed to that time unless other arrangments are made at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson. If sufficient notice is given for a cancellation, a make-up lesson can be arranged, however, if insufficient or no notice is given before missing a lesson, the student agrees to forfeit that lesson.
Curriculum
Individualized to meet each student's specific needs and interests, the curriculum at any given time will include part or all of the following: technique, sight-reading, repertoire, and fundamentals in music theory and ear training.
Each student is expected to practice DAILY. On excessively busy days, it is always better to practice some rather than to try and make-up lost practice time a day or two prior to the lesson. Each student is REQUIRED to fill out and submit at the beginning of each lesson a Daily Practice Chart detailing the previous week’s practicing.
